Our History
Lingua Language Center (LINGUA) was founded in 1998. LINGUA is a minority-owned company, certified as a Broward County, Florida business enterprise and as a Federal Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). Its founder, businesswoman Andreina Ojeda, has a Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages, with a Master's Degree in International Studies. Since its inception, the school's mission has been to provide effective language education leading to mastery of a new language through a proven, communicative approach to language acquisition called EnterTraining ℠ (entertainment and training).

BROWARD COLLEGE ASSOCIATION inaugurated
The BROWARD COLLEGE / LINGUA LANGUAGE CENTER PARTNERSHIP is inaugurated as LINGUA begins offering language training to private and public corporations and organizations affiliated with Broward College, such as Tri-Rail, Broward Health, Perry Ellis International, NBC/Telemundo, etc.
The Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET)
LINGUA is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), the nation's largest accrediting body for language schools. In addition, the school is certified by the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS) to enroll non-immigrant foreign students.
The BROWARD COLLEGE / LINGUA LANGUAGE CENTER PARTNERSHI
The BROWARD COLLEGE / LINGUA LANGUAGE CENTER PARTNERSHIP is strengthened as LINGUA moves to the BROWARD COLLEGE FORT LAUDERDALE CENTER. There, LINGUA expands its offerings to include the Intensive English program and its modalities, other English programs for professional and university preparation, and a variety of foreign languages that the school still offers in a much broader scope. Some examples are conversation and accent courses, test preparation, English/Spanish for Business, Law, Medicine and other specialized fields.
LINGUA expands operations by moving into BROWARD COLLEGE CENTER WESTON.
LINGUA partners with MILLENIA ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY in Doral, Miami-Dade, where LINGUA establishes its third center in South Florida.
LINGUA opens its fourth center in Coconut Creek at BROWARD COLLEGE NORTH CAMPUS, now serving the north, south, east and west areas of South Florida.
LINGUA launches its online Interactive Distance Learning programs, providing language education remotely, with live instructors and classmates so that students can participate in LINGUA's various proven programs around the world, from the comfort of their homes.

The expansion marks an important milestone for the institution, reflecting its commitment to providing high-quality language instruction and meeting the growing demand from the community. The new location offers a wide range of language courses, including English, Spanish, French and more, designed to cater to students of all levels. LINGUA DORAL's focus on immersive and interactive learning experiences remains a key feature, with the goal of enhancing language acquisition and cultural understanding.
