Study in the USA

Lingua Language Center has been certified by U.S. Federal Law to enroll non-immigrant foreign students in the Intensive English Program. The F-1 visa allows a full-time nonimmigrant student to enter the United States as a nonimmigrant for study. You may apply for an F-1 visa from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security only after an approved U.S. academic institution accepts you for admission.

VISA requirements for foreign students

Student Visa Orientation (F1)

There are several steps to apply for an F-1 student visa. The order of these steps and how to complete them may vary at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where you file your application. Please refer to the instructions available on the website of the embassy or consulate where you intend to apply on the U.S. Department of State website.

Apply to a U.S. SEVP approved school, such as Lingua Language Center. To apply, you must complete the application form and provide Lingua with proof of identity (valid passport) and three months of current bank statements.

Receive Form I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status, with all the information the U.S. government needs about your period of study (level and field of study, dates to begin and complete your studies, and your ability to pay for your education).

Pay the I-901 SEVIS fee. In addition, pay all non-refundable registration + administrative fees to Lingua Language Center ($500) and tuition fees by due dates as applicable. *Tuition costs and payment arrangements may vary by location.

With a valid passport and Form I-20, apply for an F-1 student visa at the nearest U.S. Consulate or Embassy. Please refer to the instructions available on the website of the embassy or consulate where you will be applying on the U.S. Department of State website.
